I need recs!

Has anyone written any really good Faberry, Pezberry or Quinntana fic in the past six months or so? That’s about how long it’s been since I’ve read anything (aside from leftlanden’s stuff <3 ). Note that I don’t usually love the same fics that the fandom at large deems the best. ;) My faves are all linked in the “fic recs” page on my Tumblr.

I haven’t watched the last seven episodes of Glee yet, although I have them on my DVR and probably will eventually. I know what happened in them, and I’ve seen some snippets of the “good parts.” I’ve fallen out of love (well, love/hate) with the show. I may or may not watch next year, depending on how the new format works.

Right on the money, as usual, especially re: the Quinn/Rachel stuff.

Honestly, part of the reason I don’t feel the need to write Faberry fanfiction right now is because the show is doing it for me. And it’s bizarre.

Remember when Marissa Cooper was going to go off and live with her dad on his boat, escaping the mess that show had become and actually getting a decently happy ending, and then she got into a car accident and died? That sucked.

So, this is done

I Tell the Stars Each Night

13 Chapters, 104K words, Faberry, Brittana, Faberritana friendship.

You can tell me I didn’t write a novel this year, but I won’t believe you.

Read this, you guys. It’s great. I’ve loved this entire universe; leftlanden really brings the characters to life, and it has been wonderful watching them evolve through all of her stories. Her Santana has always been one of my favorites, and I’m glad that even though Santana is a bit kinder and gentler in this story than in the previous ones, she’d still cut you for saying so.

So I’m choosing to believe that the Glee wedding they apparently recently filmed is Sugar/Rory, and only taking place so he won’t get deported. (I would also accept a Finchel almost-wedding with Rachel backing out at the very last minute, in typical dramatic Rachel Berry fashion.)

I agree with all of this. This episode actually made me care about Glee again. It made me love Quinn again! I’d say it made me want to write fic again (and it kind of did!), but I’m lazy, so we’ll see. :P

Fic: I Tell the Stars Each Night (1/13)

leftlanden:

Title:  I Tell the Stars Each Night (1/13)

Pairings: Santana/Brittany, Rachel/Quinn.

Other relationships:  Friendship-wise, the emphasis is on Pezberry and Quinntana, but there’s also Quitt and Brittany/Rachel, whatever the name for that is.

Rating: NC-17, M

Word Count: 50,000+ (This chapter ~4500)

Spoilers:  This ‘verse diverged from canon after 2x16, but I’ll say 2x22 just to be safe.

Disclaimer: Glee is not mine

Summary:  This story describes the events of the summer between junior and senior years for Rachel, Quinn, Santana, and Brittany.  They make short-term schemes and long-term plans, pass milestones and make mistakes, take a short road trip or two, and do lots and lots of talking (mostly, though not entirely, to each other).  Also, sex.

Also at ff.net.

Leftlanden is one of my favorite authors (and people!) and this is a great start to what I know is going to be another amazing story.

Title: Opposite Poles, Equal Partners
Author: ProfessorSpork
Character/Pairing: Quinn Fabray; Rachel Berry
Fandom: Glee
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The thing about parallel lines is, they never actually meet. She’s kind of banking on that, to be honest. (An examination of unrequited Faberry; the very start of season 1. One-shot.)

Read it on FFN or livejournal.

This is sad and deep and very well-written. Read it.
